THE PARISH OF ST LUKE GREAT CROSBY

Minutes of a Meeting of Parishioners
held in St Luke's Church Hall, on Monday 29 April 2002 at 8:00 pm
for the purpose of electing Churchwardens

1. The Rev David Trollope opened the meeting with prayer.

2. Notice Convening Meeting

After opening the meeting the Chairman informed those present that the notice convening the meeting had been on view in church and was available for inspection.

3. Minutes

The Minutes of the 2001 meeting previously circulated to all those on the Electoral Roll were taken as read. It was proposed by John Morris,
and seconded by Ray Terry, and unanimously agreed, that the Minutes be accepted and signed.

4. Election of Churchwardens

The Chairman announced that Linda Moore had now completed four years as Churchwarden and would be standing down. The Chairman expressed a very special thank you to Linda who was always willing to do everything and take on everything with a wonderfully generous arid efficient spirit.

There were two nominations for Churchwardens, those being Peter Owen and Sandra Tickle. It was proposed by Joyce Fell and seconded by Margaret Davey that both Peter and Sandra be elected Churchwardens and that this was unanimously agreed.

5. Vote of Thanks

Peter Owen added his thanks to that of the Chairman for all Linda Moore's hard work over the last four years. He also thanked Sandra for all her help and for the hard work she will be doing in the future!

Peter thanked the sidespeople who make the smooth running of the Church possible. It is intended that the Sidespeople at the 11.0 am service will be given more responsibilities in future in order to free the Churchwardens for other duties.

Thanks were expressed to the people who count the offering each week and do the flowers; to the people who help out at the midweek service and in the office; and to those on the Maintenance Team who do a marvellous job. In all a big thank you to everyone who helps out at Church in any way at all.
