Meeting of Parishioners 2006

After opening the meeting the Chairman, Peter Owen, informed those present that the notice convening the meeting had been on view in Church and was available for inspection.

3. Minutes

The Minutes of the 2005 meeting previously circulated to all those on the Electoral Roll were taken as read. It was proposed by Sally Strevens, seconded by Paul Roocroft, and unanimously agreed that the Minutes be accepted and signed.

4. Election of Churchwardens

The Chairman reported that he had received a nomination for Gordon Lawrence for the post of Churchwarden. No other nominations were received so he declared Gordon Lawrence elected. He noted that an extraordinary meeting might have to be held at a later date to consider other nominations. Thanks were expressed to Gordon and Sandra for all their hardwork as Wardens over the last year.

5. Vote of Thanks

Gordon Lawrence gave a vote of thanks to all who had contributed to the life of the church in the last year and supported and assisted the Churchwardens. In particular he paid tribute to Peter Owen (his predecessor as Warden), Sandra Tickle (his fellow Warden) and Eric Linford (the Church Treasurer).
