Cell Group Values - Study 3
C Creating Community
Welcome Describe to the rest of the group something that someone who loves you gave to you? What made you think of this and how did it make you feel?
Worship Explain to the group that you are going to read John 13:1-5 and 12-17 (ie missing out 6-11) slowly and that they are to imagine that they are in the Upper Room with Jesus and his disciples. They can do this by closing their eyes. When you have finished, lead the group in a time of worship when they can thank Jesus for his example. You might like to sing a song like You laid aside your majesty (but choose others if that's more appropriate).
Word

vv 11 -14
How can people see God?
Where does this love, as John describes it, come from and how do we get it?
What's the difference between falling in love, being nice and loving?
How do we love those who are difficult to love or don't love us?
Is cell group a good place to practice loving one another?
True or False? If we loved one another, people would want to join us.

Witness If we are called to love one another in our cell group, list some practical ways in which the group can show love to one another and to those outside the group. When you have made your list, do at least one of them this week!
