Relationships
2 Where did it all go wrong?

Welcome Can you remember the first person you really wanted to go out with? What did you do in order to engineer a chance meeting with them?
Worship Read Psalm 36 together then read verses 5-9 silently to yourselves. Ask people to praise and thank God for the things that they have noted about him.
Word

1. Paradise was lost because Adam and Eve were tempted to disobey. According to Genesis chapter 3 what do you feel they were expecting to happen when they partook of the fruit? What actually happened to them?

2. Do you think that people have too high an expectation of life and are sometimes not prepared to struggle with problems or do without things?

3. Have people who have never really been in a bad relationship, any right to tell people who have suffered for many years what to do? Can we learn from each other and teach each other by sharing our experiences and bearing one another's burdens?

4. Read Romans 5.17-18. In what way did Jesus fully accomplish all that God had intended for man? What did he achieve by his life and death? How can we use his example to help us to obey God's voice?

5. Read 2 Corinthians 4.16-18. Living for God may seem to be "pie in the sky" to many people. Do you feel listening to God and following his ways is worth the cost and how could following him affect our relationships with
a) other Christians?
b) non-Christian friends and family?

Witness Pray for friends and family that they may come to know Jesus. Ask God to fill you with his Spirit to enable you to be obedient like his Son in resisting evil and listening to God's voice day by day.
