Parochial Church Council

Report of PCC meeting held on Wednesday 23 January 2008

Jan Matthews, worship co-ordinator from the Shared Ministry Team (SMT), led a review of our worship and will use the results to shape developments in the coming year.

It was reported that the costs of the vestry roof were double what was anticipated. The PCC re-affirmed its commitment to repair it but sought further clarification from the architect before proceeding.

A house in York Road for the new curate, Simon Elliott, has been identified and price has been agreed. The PCC undertook to find a surveyor to do a survey.

There will be a meeting about rights of way over church land with a local solicitor.

Barbara Chambers' job description as ordained local minister (OLM) was agreed. She will be re-licensed on Saturday 1 March 2008 at 11am at St Peter's, Woolton.

The topic for the PCC away day will be the vision of the church. The SMT will also be invited.

A financial report was received and accepted and hire charges for 2008 were agreed. A donation of £100 has been received from In Another Place for use of our premises.

Lester Davey, Jane Nurney and Dawn d'Auvin agreed to form a small group to help plan for the Annual Parish Church Meeting in April.

The following objectives for the coming year were agreed: re-building the vestry roof, gaining the Child Friendly church award, developing a vision for the next 5 years, working with 18-30s and organising regular basic Christianity courses.
