Parochial Church Council Report of PCC meeting held on Wednesday 25 March 2009 Jeff Calvert and Linda Moore reported the findings of the vestry repair group and their progress to date. The PCC expressed their great pleasure at what they had heard and looked forward to a presentation at the APCM in April. It was reported that Optisavers had now agreed in principle to the PCC’s terms and conditions for a right of way over church land and contracts were being drawn up. The PCC were delighted to support Gillian Beardwood’s desire to train for Reader ministry. The PCC agreed to contribute up to £200 for the mission and ministry expenses of the southern cluster of churches in the Sefton deanery (Blundellsands, Crosby, Thornton and Sefton). Pete Spiers reported on the builders’ progress so far. There has been a slight delay while the Diocese sorted out the paperwork for a faculty on this. Hopefully work will resume very soon. The PCC approved the annual report and accounts for the APCM and noted that, once again, the Lord had provided for all our needs. Ray Terry and Dawn d’Auvin shared the building plans for St Luke’s school and the PCC made one or two observations. Dave Law was appointed health and safety co-ordinator and Ali Dobson as child protection officer. A child protection policy and a safeguarding vulnerable adults policy was agreed as required. The PCC also agreed for insurance purposes the forthcoming TAG trip to Anglesey from 1 to 3 May 2009. this page was last modified on 27 March 2009 |
