Services & Events for All
Advent is a time of waiting with anticipation for the birth of Jesus at Christmas, a time of wonder and awe, of joy and hope. All of our services and events offer a warm welcome for anyone to attend, whether you have children and would like to join our Big Picnic Worship Toy Service or Christingle, or would like to find a place of quiet, then we have a service for you.
We look forward to welcoming you to St Luke’s Church, as we join together to celebrate the greatest gift of all, the birth of Jesus.
Sun 7th Dec – 9am Said Communion; 10.30am Toy Service & 12noon Big Picnic Worship
Come and join us for our annual TOY SERVICE. Bring along an unwrapped new toy to be donated to SWACA (Sefton Women’s and Children’s Aid) and given with our love to children locally.

Wednesday 17th Dec – 10.30am Said Christmas Communion
Sunday 21st Dec – 6.30pm Carol Service
This beautiful service is a Celebration of the birth of Jesus in readings and song followed by mince pies and mulled wine.
Tue 23rd Dec – 1.30pm Christingle Factory
Why not come along to the church hall and join the factory volunteers in helping make the Christingles?
Wed 24th Dec – Christmas Eve

Our annual service is in aid of the Children’s Society as we look ahead to Christmas Day. A service at which everyone is given a decorated orange with a candle. The most magical moment is when the candles are lit, the lights are dimmed, and we sing a carol.
11.30pm – Midnight Communion
This late-night service starts on Christmas Eve and ends just after midnight, so you’re among the first to celebrate Christmas.
Christmas Day 10am – Family Celebration
A Christmas family celebration service with communion.
