Anyone but Bear
This story is based on the parable of the Good Samaritan (the real version has fewer bears.) We are sometimes told to 'love our neighbour' but what does that really mean? Who even are our neighbours? Our friends, or the people next door? What about people from further away, or who seem a bit different from us.

Other Psalms express our joy and thanksgiving. Using Alec Motyer's translation, this day-by-day devotional encourages children to explore the Psalms...

The Bear that Nobody...
This story is based on the story of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector which was told by Jesus. The Bible tells us that God invites us to be his friend and we need only bring ourselves to come to him. Nothing we have done or can do makes us good enough. We just have to accept his invitation.
